Bornholms Frie Familieklub

Welcome to Bornholms Frie Familieklub’s website! We are an association of approximately 170 members dedicated to building a strong network and a committed community for families with children on Bornholm. Around 120 of our members are children, and nearly every age group from 0 to 15 years is represented, with grandparents also frequently joining our activities.

Our mission is to organize educational and community-oriented activities primarily aimed at families whose children are temporarily or permanently outside of institutional or school settings. We believe in democracy, civil liberties, and human rights, and strive to empower individuals to take responsibility for their own lives and actively participate in society.

As a member of Bornholms Frie Familieklub, you become part of a dynamic and engaged community. We organize weekly activities for our members and their families, offering opportunities for both social interaction and educational experiences.

Joining our association is not just about becoming part of a community—it’s about contributing to the creation and maintenance of an open and welcoming network on Bornholm. This network is easy to find and even easier to become a part of. Your contribution helps make a meaningful difference in our local community.

Associations in Denmark are democratic and rely on volunteer work. All members are involved in the process and share the workload. This means we all work together to strengthen our community.
